<두툼하다는 것에 관하여>
 

빵이 맛있게 느껴지는 공간을 생각해 봅니다. 아직도 줄을 서는 빵집 "밀도"는 진정성 있는 빵을 정성껏 만드는 브랜드입니다. 이렇게 정성을 다해 빵을 만드는 분들의 신념과 마음을 공감할 수 있는 공간을 고민해 봅니다. 빵은 신기하게도 냄새만 맡아도 보기만 하여도 배고픔을 달래주는 기분 좋은 대상입니다. 금방 나온 식빵을 자르지 않고 양손으로 뜯어낼 때 느껴지는 두툼한 부피감은 시각적인 형태가 아니라도 빵이 가지는 기분 좋은 느낌입니다. 이번 프로젝트는 이러한 감각들을 공간으로 만들고자 했던 고민과 실험의 결과입니다.



- Mealdo KangNam

Things are getting thinner and lighter. But my favorite bread is something thick, massy, and textured surface. I wanted to describe this image in the interior of the bakery, Mealdo KangNam. 
Under the limitation of extremely small size of the space, we contrived to lengthen the moving paths and put rounded walls, high thick-wooden diameters, textured mortar surfaces, etc. I also put several Korean traditional points in furniture, as usual in my previous works.
